滞在許可証(EU Family Permit)は、非ヨーロッパ人出身がイギリスに居住している欧州連合加盟国の国籍者と結婚をしたり、2年同居した証拠を提示すると取得できます。
滞在許可証(EU Family Permit)は、イギリス移民法に基づいて与えられるビザではなく、欧州連合(EU)法に基づいて与えられるもので、イギリスビザ/滞在許可(Leave to Remain)とは性格が異なり、10年永住権申請時にはその許可証で滞在した期間は10年の滞在期間に含まれません。イギリス国外で申請する場合、入国前にその国駐在のイギリス大使館(the British authorities)を通じて入国許可証(entry clearance)の承認が必要です。
